Action to take during the HAZE

Fellow friends,

The number of hot spots in central and northern Sumatra occurred on Thursday had increased due to the dry weather. There were six isolated hot spots detected in the Peninsular and 10 in Sabah and Sarawak recently.

Below are some advice and action to take during the haze:
1)Reduce outdoor physical activities
2)Drink plenty of water(at least 8 glasses per day)
3)Wash your hands and face with soap and clean water after performing/ attending outdoor activities.
4) Use the car air conditioner(use recirculate air mode)
5)Ensure your indoor air is always clean. Reduce indoor air pollution especially from cigarette smoke!
6) As far as possible, stay indoor. Wear a suitable mask when the Air Pollutant Index(API) readings increase.

Effects of HAZE on health:
1) Asthma
2) Pneumonia
3) Sore throat
4) Conjunctivitis
5) Cough and cold
6) Cardiovascular disease

SEEK IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION IF YOUR HEALTH IS AFFECTED BY HAZE...!
